Chandan is going to join here. Yes. Okay. He has already joined. Hello Chandan. Peace be upon you. Put on your camera, please. Okay. Hi, how are you? I'm fine. Thank you. Um, can you tell me your full name and your job title? My full name is Chandan Ojha and my job title is Software Engineering. Okay. Okay. Um, do you, who do you, uh, report to? My reporting boss is, uh, my teammate is Shazadul. Okay. Uh so he is, uh, lead, isn't it? API lead? Yes. Yes. We will discuss things here in both Bangla and English. Are you comfortable to speak in English or you want to continue in Bengali? Sir, in Bengali. Okay, we can start Bengali. Um, we will also have some conversation in English to understand your English level. Because in the future, we will work with English-speaking countries. Or rather we are already working with them, in fact. We have to work with English-speaking countries, so in that case, we need to know a little bit about your English proficiency, to know where we stand. So, in your current role, how long have you been at MononSoft? Sir, I have been at MononSoft for about three and a half years. Three and a half years. Okay. We will now discuss your technical skills. We will do a rating from 1 to 5, and there might be some skills that you don't have, and that's not a problem. We are just doing a normal assessment, as we will be teaching through a methodology in the future for the company. Okay? So, how are your skills in front-end and back-end development? Sir, I basically work on REST API development, database's SQL queries, and I do some minor work on the front-end as well. But my full-time work is on the back-end. Okay. Only API development. Okay. If I ask you to rate yourself from 1 to 5, what would you give yourself for back-end and what for front-end? It's fine even if you give yourself a zero, we are just assessing you to see in which areas we can help you improve, or rather, improve according to your wishes. Even so, this is just to get an understanding. Sir, for API development, on the backend, out of five... I'm not talking about API, I'm talking about back-end and front-end development. We will get to API. Okay. An average of three, sir. You want to give yourself a three. That means you have an idea of how the work is done. Yes, sir. Okay. Now let's talk about API development and integration. How is your understanding of API development and integration? Yes sir, I have a pretty good understanding. How much would you rate yourself? For API development and integration, four out of five, sir. Okay. Do you have any knowledge of database management? Yes sir, yes, I also have a pretty good understanding of databases. I do some minor work like schema design and basic SQL queries, sir. Okay. How much would you give yourself? Three, sir. Three. What is your understanding of database optimization and query tuning? Yes, yes sir. How much would you give yourself? Three, sir. Three. Okay, do you have any knowledge of DevOps? No sir. Yes, yes sir. I have some minor experience with DevOps. I've worked a bit with Docker and CI/CD automation. How much would you give? Four, sir. Okay. How is your understanding of system architecture? Yes sir, I have a basic understanding, as much as we need. Yes. I have that level of understanding. How much would you give yourself? Three, sir. Three. How skilled are you at debugging and troubleshooting? Yes sir, I'm good. I have a good understanding of debugging and testing. How much would you give? Four. Four, sir. Okay. Documentation and document quality... if you are given a document or asked to create one, how well can you handle both? Yes sir, yes, I can do it. I sometimes do documentation and document writing. Four, sir. Four. Okay, now we'll talk about behavioral skills. How are you at time management? Yes sir, I try to deliver my work on time. Okay, how would you rate yourself? Here I can give myself five out of five. Okay. Now, suppose you're given a task with a deadline, but it seems you won't be able to finish it within the specified time. What do you do in that case? If I can't finish within the specified time, perhaps due to a family issue or a personal issue, in that case, I communicate with my senior developer and maybe work with them. But I always try to deliver the work on time. Okay. In terms of communication, how are your communication skills in Bangla and English? In Bangla, sir, it's good. In English, it's moderate. How much would you give for Bangla? In Bangla sir, I'd give five out of five. And in English, three. Three in English. How are you with teamwork and collaboration? Yes sir, since I am in the API development team, I have to collaborate and work with the front-end, Android, and database teams. In that regard, our team understanding is maintained, and we always work that way. Okay. How much would you give yourself? Here sir, you can give five. Okay. Do you understand task ownership? What is task ownership? Task ownership, sir, as I understand it, means that when a task is assigned to me, I have to understand its complexity, take personal responsibility for the work, figure out how to finish it, and how to deliver that task on time. If there are any complexities or gaps in business understanding, I discuss them with seniors to see how the work can be moved forward. That's it, sir. Okay. So, in task ownership, how much would you give yourself? For task ownership, sir, four. Four. How are your problem-solving skills? Yes sir, my problem-solving skills are pretty good. I solve some problems on online judges, and then for the complex business analysis that we have here, for the features we have to implement through various APIs, in that regard, sir, I have pretty good problem-solving skills. Okay, in problem-solving, how much would you give yourself? In problem-solving sir, four out of five. Four. What is your learning initiative like? Yes sir, my learning initiative is good. I am very eager to learn new things, especially in sectors like data science and machine learning. I'm very interested in these things. I've been doing a lot of research on these topics. I am very interested in them. I always have a curiosity about learning new things, sir. How much would you give? Five out of five, sir. Five. Adaptability. Can you adapt? Yes sir, yes. A new technology, or if we have to work with a new technology or framework for a new project, for instance, a new project comes with a different framework we have to work on, in that case, by continuously learning it and adapting the project to it... I can do that, sir. My learning adaptability is quite good. How much would you give yourself? Five out of five, sir. Okay. Now we will move on to the questionnaire. So I will ask you some questions and try to answer them in English. Okay? Which parts of your role do you feel you are strongest in? Sir, I am strongest in back-end development using Laravel, designing RESTful APIs, implementing authentication, authorization, and integration with external services. I am also comfortable working with database schema design, query optimization, and building scalable API architecture. Okay. Which parts of your role you struggle with? I occasionally face challenges when working with highly complex data pipelines, advanced statistical modeling, or front-end tasks requiring deep UI/UX expertise. Additionally, tasks involving large-scale system optimization or distributed computing skills require further growth. Mhm. Anything else? No, sir. Okay. How confident are you working with across full-stack environment? I am most confident on the back-end and moderately confident on database-related tasks. I can work with front-end technologies when necessary, but it is not my strongest area. I am comfortable contributing in full-stack environments but prefer back-end-focused responsibilities. Okay. What slow you down in your current role? Lack of clear requirements or detailed documentation. Sometimes slow testing or approval process. Complex SQL structure in legacy systems. Dependency on other teams' responses. Mhm. Okay. What new technologies or tools you wanted to learn? Basically, I am interested always to learn to new technologies. Python-based data science tools, machine learning frameworks, Docker and Kubernetes for container organization, and improve CI/CD automation tools. I also want to explore cloud services such as AWS and data engineering knowledge. Okay. What type of task or responsibilities would you like more of? I would like more involvement in system design, API architecture planning, data pipeline development, and tasks that bridge back-end engineering with data-driven decision-making. I also welcome opportunities to mentor junior developers or contribute to technical planning. Do you have right resources and documentation to work? I have access to some useful resources but would benefit from more centralized documentation, clear API specifications, and better guidelines for development standards and best practices. Okay. So currently, we are working to create Jarb 0.1, and as well as to create a global roadmap for Jarb extension. We also are working on three individual domains. One is working with the current Jarb. Second one is working for people, so we will have DevOps, and as well as AI. So in these three scenarios, on these three departments, where do you, where do you fit in? Sir, can you repeat it again? So we're going to be dividing current workforce in three domains. One is working with Jarb, current system. Second one is working for other people, like as a business, so we're going to be training people as a DevOps and AI. So in this scenario, where do you fit in? Working in other people and AI. Okay. Do you have any questions to me? No, sir. Okay, that's fine. Um, we have concluded our conversation. So, we will keep it continuous later. But, till now, I think it's done. So, thank you very much for your time. Thank you, sir. Thank you, sir. Thank you, Chandan.
